About Me
I am originally from Canada and have lived in Washington State since 1985. Grandview has been my home since 1993 and I have enjoyed living and serving in this community. After working in construction for 30 years, I received my Masters Degree in counseling in 2016. Since then I have been a therapist with Two Rivers Landing (TRL) in Yakima. TRL is an inpatient acute and long-term care facility working with adolescents in crisis. I partnered with youth and families to address family reconciliation, communication skills, parenting, and other interpersonal issues.
I have been passionate about working with adolescents for over 30 years. I served as a volunteer with
-
Youth For Christ and New Horizons (serving at risk youth in Seattle)
-
Extra Mile Student Center (tutoring/mentoring youth in Grandview)
-
Church (leading and teaching middle school students)
Currently I am in private practice as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and the owner of Mid Valley Counseling PLLC.
I am a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA) and follow their code of ethics and professional guidelines.
